Delta Dental’s Veterans Affairs Dental Insurance Program (VADIP) is administered by the Federal Government Programs division of Delta Dental of California through its subsidiary Delta Dental Insurance Company (DDIC).
Delta Dental of California today announced it has been selected by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to continue as a dental benefits administrator for the Veterans Affairs Dental Insurance Program (VADIP) through Aug. 31, 2027. The VADIP program offers veterans who are enrolled in the VA health care system and eligible beneficiaries of the Civilian Health and Medical Program of the VA (CHAMPVA) the opportunity to purchase dental insurance. Total enrollment in the VA health care systems is approximately 8.9 million Veterans, each of whom is eligible to enroll in VADIP.
With the renewed contract, current VADIP enrollees can continue their benefits with Delta Dental. The program, which has more than 72,000 members currently enrolled with Delta Dental, is also available to new Veteran enrollees.

Through the Delta Dental Plans Association, Delta Dental supports a network of oral health providers encompassing all 50 United States, Washington D.C., and the U.S. territories of American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands. VADIP program enrollees have access to more than 337,000 network dentist access points, including over 77,000 specialist access points and three Delta Dental VADIP plans at varying levels of coverage.
